Let yourself get off the daily track for a short time and appreciate everything you have more

Many people often say that Paris in August is like an empty city, because this is the time when many companies and schools are on summer vacation. Most Parisians will take this time to go to southern France or neighboring countries for vacation. The length of the vacation will vary. The system varies depending on the company, but usually French office workers will have at least 1-2 weeks of vacation.
There are such long holidays not only because French people value rest time after work, but also because winter in France is much longer than summer.
The real summer only lasts for a month. After August, France will welcome the arrival of winter, followed by the cold winter and snowy season.
Therefore, days when they can see the midsummer sunshine are particularly rare and precious to them.
Contrary to the fact that Asians avoid the sun in summer and like to whiten their skin. (After all, I usually sunbathe too much)
No matter how high the temperature is in summer, French people will almost always run outside in order to get some rare sunshine. Whether they go for a walk in the park or go to the beach in South France to sunbathe, as long as they can go outdoors and tan themselves into a wheat-colored sun.
Because after the vacation, everyone will judge whether your vacation was rich or not according to the degree of wheat color. The wheat color is a sign that French office workers have a "full vacation" ~ (laughing)
In the past few years, I almost spent my summer vacations in Taiwan with my family. This year, I just happened to have a factory visit. Without any special planning, I took advantage of my factory visit in Marseille, South France, and went to a factory. I have always wanted to go to the Côte d'Azur National Park (parc national des Calanques), which is famous for its beautiful canyons.
I did a lot of homework before setting off, but I wasn’t sure because it is said that the trail is not easy to walk. The entire 6-kilometer journey is on gravel roads with steep slopes. There is even a section of the road that requires climbing with both hands and feet. It sounds really awesome. difficulty.
But in order to take in the beauty of the canyon, I took my mobile phone, a bottle of water and a sandwich without thinking and started my self-challenge.
It happened that a heat wave hit France that day, with the temperature soaring to 40 degrees. Halfway through, I was almost dehydrated, and even had to take a long detour due to falling rocks.
I was annoyed that there were not enough water belts along the way, but the beautiful scenery along the way also made me insist on moving forward every step. When I finished the trail, I looked at the scenery in front of me and paid tribute from the bottom of my heart to the nature that created such beautiful scenery.
This three-day trip was also the first time in a long, long time that I lived a pseudo-single life without a job, a husband, or children. Originally, such days were familiar to me in the past, but now they feel strange and strange. feeling.
And this journey also made me realize:
If you occasionally give yourself a short period of time to leave your original life track, you will be able to appreciate everything you have more.
Whether you are working hard, or you are a wife or mother, don’t forget to step away from life occasionally and give yourself time to breathe.
to be continued.
